Tube heat exchangers

Shell and tube heat exchangers are used to transfer heat between two medias. They are made of a shell (a jacket) with a set of tubes welded in so-called tube sheet. The medium that gives off heat flows in tubes whereas the heat-absorbing medium flows in the shell. The sterility of the process of heat exchange is guaranteed by the fact that the device is made stainless steel and equipped with food grade seal.

This heat exchanger as a part of a food production line (e.g. in breweries) may be cleaned with the CIP system.
